The Mt Nittany Dog Training Club is made up of people interested in furthering the objectives set forth in the club's Constitution, whose applications have been approved, who have paid the prescribed fee and who have undertaken to abide by the Constitution, By-Laws of the Club. Regular meetings are held the second Tuesday of the month in the months of January, March, May, July, September and November.   Our Annual Awards Banquet is held in April.  Please see the 'Events' page for dates and locations.

The Mt Nittany Dog Training Club is a non-profit club founded in September 1975, whose objectives are:

The club will provide, free of charge, programs for schools, hospitals, nursing homes, or other groups, so long as the Board of Directors approves the group.

Each year the MNDTC conducts Agility Trials, a Tracking Test, and an Obedience & Rally Trial, all sanctioned by the AKC. The club also conducts an annual Canine Good Citizen test, and participates in other public education functions.

Want to join the MNDTC? In order to join the club, you need to be sponsored by two current members. The best way to get sponsorship is to attend classes and events and get to know the members. Once you have your sponsors lined up, fill out the 2 page Membership Application and have your sponsors sign it. Read the MNDTC Constitution & Bylaws, and agree to abide by them by signing your application. Please send the application (make sure you have included both pages), including the proper amount for dues, to the MNDTC at PO Box 315, Boalsburg, PA 16827. Once the board has acknowledged the membership application (either at a board or a regular meeting), the applicant will have all the benefits of membership except voting and reduced fees for classes offered by the club; and will be required to attend a regular meeting and be introduced by one of the sponsors. The introduction shall include what the person's interests are, and how he or she would like to contribute to club activities. If there are extenuating circumstances that prevent attendance at a regular meeting, the applicant is to notify his or her sponsor so other arrangements may be made. Applicants must work at two club activities within one year from the date of the meeting at which their application was reviewed. After completion of activities, regular member status is conferred by a 3/4 vote at a regular club meeting. Dues are currently $20 for individual membership, $30 for household membership, and $5 for a junior (9 - 17 years) membership.
